Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild
The Guild With Heart
The NIMBLE THIMBLES QUILT GUILD of Mauldin, South Carolina is a non-profit organization formed to:
A. Encourage and further interest in quilt making and quilts.
B. Promote a full discussion and exchange of ideas.
C. Promote the greater fellowship between Quilters and persons interested in quilts.
Its Time to renew your membership!
This quilt could be yours!
Every year the Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild creates a Donation Quilt that is raffled off to benefit both the guild and a chosen charity. This year we are honored to share our proceeds with Let There Be Mom.
Our 2021 quilt, “Stain Glass String Quilt”, was designed by Liz Florom, pieced by members of the guild, and quilted by Evelyn Kellogg of Wolf Quilting (864-476-2130).
Online ticket sales of 5 tickets for $5.00 will be from January 18 – March 5, 2021. Available here: Let There Be Mom
The drawing for the quilt will be at the Nimble Thimbles meeting, March 10.
We appreciate your support.
A Message from our President
Hello and welcome to our website. Nimble Thimbles Quilt Guild has been a fixture in the Mauldin Community since 1988. Since then many beautiful quilts have been made by our members not just for family and friends but for the community at large. We are proud to present a quilt to each family member receiving a Habit for Humanity home. Our members are also active producing beautiful patriotic quilts for the Quilts of Valor organization which honors our nation’s veterans. In October on non-COVID years we host a quilt show featuring over 100 beautiful creations. This year’s show had to be cancelled so we look forward to holding it in 2021.
Our meetings are friendly, fun and educational. Our diverse group brings many talents and experiences to each meeting. There are also some bees associated with the guild where one can get to know other quilters even better.
We are currently meeting at 7 p.m. the second Wednesday evening of each month at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mauldin while COVID-19 restrictions are in place. Hopefully we will soon be back to meeting on the second Monday of each month at the same location.
Whether you are an experienced quilter, a novice or just want to find out what it’s all about we would love to have you come to a meeting.
Happy sewing!
Jean
