Charity Project #1 - Congenital Heart Defects Families Association
Members voted to adopt Congenital Heart Defects Families Association as one of our Care Quilt project for 2010.
CHD Families Assoc. is a not-for-profit organization working to bring comfort and support to Kansas City area
families affected by congenital heart defects. The group provides a care packet to all families who have
children admitted to Children’s Mercy Hospital with heart defects. They include a blanket or quilt in the
care packets. The Executive Director, Valerie Rexin,
is truly very excited and appreciative that we are doing this project!!

Charity Project #2 - 1 Million Pillowcases Challenge

Members may turn in pillowcases at every meeting and we will distribute and not wait until the end of the year.

Charity Project #3 - VFW quilts:
Quilts are mostly in wheel chairs, and they want lap size quilts that won’t get caught in the wheels of the chair.
